"The Thistle" - we are looking for the best Clydesdale in Australia

The Scenic Rim Clydesdale Spectacular is introducing the very first Australian Championship for Clydesdales with "The Thistle". We are looking for the best Clydesdale in Australia - Clydesdale's Champion of Champions!

"The Thistle" championship is by invitation only and the winner will take home $5,000. Invitations will be extended to the following eligible horses:

Supreme Champion Clydesdale (or equivalent) of:

• Ekka, Royal Queensland Show (August 2024)
• Royal Adelaide Show (September 2024)
• Melbourne Royal Show (Sep-Oct 2024)
• Perth Royal Show (Sep-October 2024)
• National Clydesdale & Heavy Horse Festival (January 2025)
• Sydney Royal Easter Show (April 2025)
• Scenic Rim Clydesdale Spectacular (June 2025)

"The Don Ross" - we are looking for the Most Versatile Heavy Horse & Handler.

In honour and very fond memory of Don Ross Snr and his exceptional horsemanship we will celebrate the Most Versatile Heavy Horse and Handler each year with a perpetual memorial trophy in his name.

The Don Ross will be awarded under the following rules:

1. Only one entry combination is accepted per person.
2. The horse and handler combination must remain the same for all classes.

POINTS:

1^st Place – 3 Points

2^nd Place – 2 Points

3^rd Place – 1 Point
